The Ocean Course at Peninsula Papagayo, also known as the Four Seasons Costa Rica Golf Course is private course located within the Peninsula Papagayo Resort in the northern province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
Designed with the strategic brilliance of golf legend Arnold Palmer, the Ocean Course offers an awe-inspiring coastal backdrop and sweeping panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
The Peninsula Papagayo Clubhouse –located in the heart of the resort grounds– offers an array of services and facilities, aimed at elevating each player’s experience. These may include: golf club rental, golf instruction, practice areas, and personalized golf services.
Upon request, and subject to availability, guests staying at the Four Seasons Costa Rica or Andaz Costa Rica Resort can book tee times and pay to play, and access an array of available services at the Ocean Course.
This golf course features a Pro shop where golfers can find equipment, apparel, and accessories.
History
The Ocean Course has a history that dates back to the construction of the larger Peninsula Papagayo Resort in the Guanacaste district of Liberia. Plans were set in motion to create a world-class golf course that would highlight the natural beauty and local value of this Costa Rica’s North Pacific region; as well as offer players and guests an exceptional golfing experience.
Since opening doors in 2004, the Ocean Course has hosted numerous notable golf competitions, attracting both professionals and golf enthusiasts from all over the world. Golf Digest has ranked the Ocean Course as one of the “Top 100 Courses Outside the United States.”
